It was just brought to my attention that there is a full moon tonight. Guess we'll find out if it can indeed help labor along. I just did a quick search and didn't find much in the way of research that confirms the theory. I did, however, find lots of anecdotal snippets from nurses/staff working L & D floors that did confirm busier maternity wards on the night of a full moon.
We'll see...
Otherwise, no change here. Still the same.

I am a new OB nurse and I never believed that phenomenon. However, since I have been working, I have experienced a full moon and a big holiday, both of which brought in a huge influx of laboring patients!
I hope it works for you so that you can meet your little one!
